If You Were Satan ...

What would please you about the world today?

What would frustrate you?

Why would people believe or disbelieve in you?

Apologies to those whose interview clips didn't make it in this week due to camera errors.

... or was it due to ... Satan ? Hmmmm...

If I were satan I would love how a lot of the stuff I do is blamed on God, my archrival. I'd think that's fantastic.
What would frustrate me would be all those people praying to God, talking to Him, listening to Him, asking Him for stuff and singing songs to Him. No one ever sings me a song. Well, not a good song anyhow.
I forgot the 3rd question already. Sorry.

I think the existence of people - simply their existence - is what drives Satan crazy. I think it's what turned him to the dark side in the beginning - he caught wind of God's plan to create creatures "in His image", creatures that would be capable of an intimacy with God unlike anything the angels could ever hope for. So he rebelled, not because he was jealous of God but because he was jealous of us.

What Satan couldn't take by force ("I will make myself like the Most High”) God gave as a gift to men and women.

So I think anything that wipes people off the face of the earth (aids, suicide, abortion, terrorism, genocide) is like candy to Satan.

Oh yeah, and I think Satan has an extra special hate on for Jesus, who must be like lemon juice in Satan's oozing wound.

God doesn't just make man. He becomes one.

Last night King's Bridge was a co-sponsor of an event at The House Cafe dealing with working toward eliminating extreme poverty. One of the speakers worked in Cambodia and talked about their efforts to slow the trafficining of children as sex-slaves.

I have a hard time imagining anything more evil than very young kids abused over and over in this sort of way, while adults who should be their protectors indulge their most demonic urges and others make money off it.

People can be pretty horrible, but when I hear of things like this I think they must be getting an extra injection of evil from something beyond themselves.

If I were Satan, I'd keep people so busy that they wouldn't have time for themselves, or eachother or God so they would fill up their lonely holes with things that I tell them will satisfy that never will, until they are old crusty shells of something that should be full of life and beauty.
